Brief: Create a campaign that reinforces the luxurious quality of the classic 80's campaign that made them famous, Collegiate Project
Approach: Grey Poupon is a brand of Dijon mustard most known for its classic 1980s ad portraying the richest people using Grey Poupon. I wanted to bring the old-money feel from the ad to the new-money feel of the modern day. Gaining inspiration from SOHO, NY, and fragrance billboards, the campaign evolved to an incredibly simple geometric display around the nature used in the making of this luxurious product.
Challenges: With so many ideas and directional choices, finding the perfect design was crucial. Additionally, with a design so simple, each piece has to be placed with absolute precision, understanding legibility and shadows that keep the image vibrant but also draws the eyes to the image and copy.
